Eating the Twin Cities: B52
B52 BURGERS AND BREW: INVER GROVE HEIGHTS, MN: JUNE 25TH, 2014.
B52 had just won the "Best Burger in Minnesota" award for their Pat Lafrieda burger. It's a USDA cut 2/3lb burger that is black angus beef. It beat out some of the top burger joints in Minnesota so it was definitely worth checking out. I'll give everything about the restaurant a rating out of 10.
Location: 6/10. A little far if you're in the Minneapolis area or the northern suburbs like Shoreivew, Roseville. Also pretty far if you're in Edina, Eden Prarie but good location, easy to park. Nice spot if you're a frequenter of St. Paul.
Atmosphere: 7/10. Pretty standard sports bar. Solid amount of TVs. Nice divider of "restaurant" and "bar" sections. Ample beer choices.
Food: 7/10. The burger was good, not great. I'm thinking my expectations were set WAYYY to high because of the award they just wouldn't but am I wrong for that? They literally just won best burger in MN? I've had better and wouldn't go out of my way to get to B52 but if I happened to be showing houses in the area, I would definitely stop back for a bite and a beer.
